Introducing: Kirsty Kenny

By now, you should have all met our new manager Kirsty Kenny who joined us 4 weeks ago to fill the role of nursery manager at Little Rascals. However, you probably haven’t had chance to get to know her very well.

We have put together some questions we are sure you are burning to ask and you may be surprised at some of the answers.

Here we go…

About me: I have been in childcare for nearly 10 years and became nursery manager in 2011 at Lollipops nursery in Ingol. Outside of work I am a dance teacher, having been a successful dancer myself. I have lived in Preston all of my life and I live at home with Ray, my husband and I have been married for 2 1/2 years.

Best thing you love about your job: Everyday is different and being part of children’s learning and development

Hobbies: Dance teacher (contemporary and modern), swimming, shopping (but not your typical girly-girl shopper!)

Favourite film: The Little Mermaid – literally know all the words!

Favourite nursery rhyme: Twinkle Twinkle Little Star

Favourite season: Winter

Favourite animal: Hippo

Favourite food: Cheese

Favourite colour: Red

If you were stuck on a desert island, who would you most like to be with and why? Ray (my husband) he’s is my best friend.

If you won the lottery, what would you do? Travel the world – starting with Hawaii!

Something nobody knows about you: Never considered working with children – was actually going to go to uni to study Photography after studying it at A-Level.

Something you are most proud of: When my dance group win medals in competitions!

To find out more about Kirsty or to ask her any other burning questions, pop into the office when you are dropping off or picking up to see her.  There will be more staff profiles coming soon!
